CAI-NJ January 2021

PRESIDENT’S CORNER... from page 5.

Another notable event that will start the new year is the Community Night Cooking Demonstration hosted by our own immediate past Chapter President and “guest chef” Jennifer Nevins, CMCA. Members will enjoy a live cooking demonstration and networking event during which they will be cooking

a One Pot — Italian Style Pasta Meal for four. This event marks the first of the “Community Night” series that will be hosted by our Women’s Leadership Committee throughout the year. Please be on the lookout for information on upcoming events. Education for Virtual Association Operations Keeping with the theme of virtual community, this issue includes helpful articles on conducting association busi- ness during the pandemic. Meetings have been a primary concern during the past year, and the article on Virtual Meetings During the Global Health Crisis on page 22 provides valuable insight as to how to have these meetings during the current time period. The equally relevant article on Electronic Voting found on page 14 highlights another topic of great import during the course of the pandemic and potentially well into the future. Virtual education, which can be found on page 30, is another article providing helpful guidance on what well may become a normal means of providing education in a post-pandemic world. I look forward to seeing you soon at one of the upcoming virtual programs until we can meet again in person. In the meantime, please stay safe and be on the watch for upcoming news and updates for our entire CAI-NJ Community. n “Another notable event that will start the new year is the Community Night Cooking Demonstration....”
