Verified Audit Trail (VVAT) — an inde- pendent verification system for voting systems designed to allow voters to verify that their vote was cast correctly, to detect possible election fraud or malfunction, and to provide a means to audit the stored electronic results. Data Backup and Archival Depending on the election platform being used, election data and results are stored securely for a certain peri- od of time for audits and validation. Electronic elections are easier than ever with conferencing tools like Zoom and Google Hangouts. Many associations are turning to electronic voting procedures these days to ensure higher voter turnout in HOA elections. Online elections are a time and money saver in the long run. With the increasing concerns for safety and social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no time like the present to switch to a managed, online voting process. n
