Is it a bare wall policy or the unfinished sur- face of the sheetrock? Knowing this information ahead of time will allow you to assist your homeowners when an incident occurs and guide them according to the documents. HO6 carriers have also become far more assertive in asking for the docu- ments before accepting and processing a claim. Managers should make the time to research and have answers to all the above beforehand. As manag- ing agents, this is what we are paid to know. Remember, as managers, we are not insurance brokers or attorneys, so use your association’s resources so you know how to proceed. n
