You’ll need to adapt your policies to provide quick help to affected residents, boost New Jersey has strengthened disclo sure requirements for flood risks under the Truth-In-Renting Act (N.J.S.A. § 46:8-50). Now, sellers must disclose a property’s flood history to potential buyers and tenants or inform them if the property is in a FEMA Flood Hazard Zone before signing sales contracts, leases, and renewals.
