Getting the Most Out of the CAI-NJ Annual Conference from a Business Partner Perspective

T rade Shows present a unique opportunity for community association property managers, home owners, management companies, and business partners to gain insights, forge connections, and discover new solutions tailored to their needs. This year’s CAI-NJ Annual Conference & Expo, “Discover the Magic in Your Community”, will be held on Thursday, October 17 at the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center in Edison, NJ, and promises to be a hub of innovation, connections, and inspiration. To ensure you tap into all the magic this trade show has to offer, here’s how to make the most of your experience from a business partner’s perspective. Pre-Event Planning Before stepping into the expo hall, take time to research the exhibitors and education sessions. With so much to explore, it’s essential to align your visit with your current
and future needs. Prioritize the booths and seminars that resonate most with your goals and make an agenda or checklist for your day. Lois Gerber, the Board Chair of the Harbour Mansion Condominium Association, suggests that you take your planning one step further and “contact people you’d like to speak with in advance to set up an appointment.” Another great tip Lois offered is to make your own if you don’t have business cards. “Print off a sheet of labels with your association, name, board position, location, phone, and e-mail”. Networking with Purpose Successful networking doesn’t require casting a spell. It is all about connecting genuinely.
