One Call DOES IT ALL

Cheryl Rhine, CIC, CIRMS, EBP: For starters, I must give credit for my work ethic and desire to be successful to my mom. In a generation where many women didn’t work, she was a hardworking, successful woman who inspired me to believe that I could accomplish anything. I have been inspired by so many successful role mod els within the community including of course my mentor Debbie Pasquariello, CIC, CIRMS, who I have worked with for over 25 years. Others within the industry have been inspirations as well. I loved watching the many woman leaders (including your self) and CAI chapter presidents in our industry like Denise Becker, CMCA, AMS, PCAM. Watching them over the years has made me confident in the pursuit of fur thering my path within the CAI leadership roles. I don’t believe you should ever stop learning and growing. Over the upcoming years I plan to continue my professional growth in the industry and with CAI on a national level as well as local. There is no question the most important thing in my life is my family. I love being a positive role model for my teenage daughter and son of course too. One of the most important moments in my life came when I achieved a high-level award through my company. I recall my daughter smiling and saying to me, “Wow Mom, you have talked about this award for a long time and I always wondered if you were ever going to make it, and you did! I am so proud of you!” I knew at that moment I had taught her a valuable lesson, to NEVER give up, it may take some time, but you can achieve your goals and dreams. Kristina Munson, CMCA, AMS, PCAM: Like most people, I fell into this indus try! I enjoy helping people and solving problems. I don’t know if I ever “aspired” to become a leader, it just came naturally with growth and experience. I love that this is a women-driven industry and there is no cap on growth and opportunity except for the cap we put on ourselves. Technology has certainly improved over the last 20 years allowing commu nications and services to be much more efficient. Unfortunately, along with the advance in technology came increased expectations to do more, respond imme diately, and be constantly available, so we find ourselves having to be more intentional about establishing boundaries. More is required of community man agers in terms of regulatory compliance and specialized industry knowledge
