The highest priority element of any
tree inventory must involve the identifi-
cation of any and all hazardous tree
conditions and the required mainte-
nance tasks to make the trees safe. A
”hazardous tree” can be defined as
one with specific structural, site relat-
ed, or health conditions that make it
prone to having portions of the tree or

“target” such as people, homes, vehi-
