munity. Everyone in the community management industry is well-intended and has a big heart. They chose to be in this industry to help and serve people and improve their home lives; however, they are human. Perfection in this career is impossible because success is often in the eyes of the beholder, and homeowner preference is always a factor. The best managers handle so many aspects of the com munity that mistakes are bound to be made. The critical difference is how the individuals are supported when this happens and how we learn from those mistakes and improve from the experience. THE IMPACT OF SMALL ACTIONS Small actions can have a signifi cant impact. Whether it is a word of encouragement, a thoughtful gesture,

or a timely response, these actions build trust and rapport. Recognizing the importance of small, consistent efforts is essential in both leadership roles. FANS VS RESIDENTS Now that I am no longer a coach and sit in the stands as a fan, I’m often struck by how passionately fans engage with the game. Many are there to genuinely support their team, sharing thoughts and suggestions from the stands about what they think the coach could be doing differently. Often, these perspectives are shaped by articles they have read or the games they have attended. What is easy to overlook is that the coach, someone who has often spent 20 to 30 years in the profession, working closely with athletes for years, scout ing future players, studying game CONTINUES ON PAGE 32

1. No one ever made it to the Hall of Fame on their own. They recog nize that while being honored as an individual, they did not achieve their success alone. There are so many people to thank for helping them along their journey. 2. No one ever went undefeated. Every Hall of Famer speaks of the losses, not the wins, that drove them to work harder, improve, and achieve excellence to receive the honor.
