Homeowner Specific Incentives:

Both the NJCEP as well as the local utility providers also provide incentives to homeowners who purchase qualifying energy efficient equipment. These items include but are not limited to lighting, power strips, thermostats, appliances, and more. Incentives are typically offered either through dis counted pricing on such goods, or through rebates. Many utility providers also have their own marketplace listed on their website that offers significantly discounted prices on energy efficient products such as light bulbs, thermostats, power strips, and many others. The list of participating util ity providers includes Atlantic City Electric, JCP&L, PSE&G, Rockland Electric Company, NJ Natural Gas, and South Jersey Gas. As you can see, there are a plethora of programs cur rently being offered in New Jersey to help fund the costs of energy efficiency upgrades. In light of recent cost increas es, now more than ever boards and homeowners should make sure to do their research for potential savings before undertaking a large project. savings may only be a few hundred dollars, but when performing significant upgrades to a multi-unit dwelling the costs could be in the thousands.
