Reflecting on the Community Association Events that Shaped Our Neighborhoods in 2023 By Casey Sky Noon, CoolSys Energy Design As we look forward to the start of a new year, it is the perfect time to reflect on the past. Winter months remind us to be grateful for the good times we’ve had with friends and family. One of the best things about community living is neighborly kinship and so the CAI New Jersey chapter would like to highlight some of the engagement activities that brought people together at associations across the Garden State in 2023.

Aladdin Condominium Association Christmas in July Mark Lemon, the President of Aladdin Condominium Association in Wildwood Crest, NJ, shared the following photo of the community’s annual Christmas in July event. He said: “Every summer, Santa Claus makes an appear ance for the children. During this event, we also collect food left over and donate it to The Branches Outreach, which is a non-profit organization that provides basic needs such as warm meals, showers, clothing, groceries, and advocate services to help clients navigate local social service agencies for housing, substance abuse, mental health, and legal issues. Rossmoor Community Association, Inc. Summer Games Rossmoor Community Association, located in Monroe, NJ, is an adult community that boasts more than 3,000 residents. General Manager Thomas Curry CMCA, AMS., PCAM shared these photos of the community’s many out door games, including bocce ball, pickle ball, and cro quet. There’s nothing better than being active (and maybe a little bit competitive) with friends outside in the fresh air.
