DECEMBERS’ IMPACTFUL LEADER(S) Past and Present Board Members Over the Last 6 years I can’t even begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for every board member I have served with over the last 6 years. The past several years we have faced things such as Covid, staffing changes, legislative issues, and the list goes on…. What we sometimes forget is that this is a volunteer job, but every single person I have served with ALWAYS put work aside when they had to and had the BEST interest for the chapter. Loren Lightman, Esq., Denise Becker, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, Donna Belkot, Frank Catanzarite, only to name a few! Each and every board member were true leaders. How do you define a leader? I always characterized a leader under these 5 points: • Focused • Mindful • Strategic • Willing to admit when you are wrong • Teachable Each board member demonstrated the above and more. It was an absolute privilege and honor to work with each and every one of you. From short board meetings to long board meetings, it didn’t matter because it was a blessing to serve with the best of the best. Each of you taught me a little something, even if you didn’t even realize it, I assure you, you did. I took in all your experience and advice, and applied it during my Presidency, as well as everyday life. I want to wish the 2023 board a wonderful year! I am always here if you need anything. n
