communities in meaningful and pro- ductive ways. Each community has a member on the committee. Senior Advisory Committee mem- bers meet with Mayor Tamburro and special guest speakers every month to gather information and share feed- back. They report to the group on events and happenings in their respec- tive communities. Roz notes that at a meeting in May, the Township’s Public Information Officer gave a presen- tation regarding significant improve- ments regarding communications from the Township to residents. Last month the police department made a presen- tation regarding frauds, scams and how to recognize them. The com- mittee asked, and the police agreed that the presentation be made at each adult community. At the next meeting, the Town Planner will discuss

over-building in Monroe Township. Old Bridge Township Mayor Henry states, “The HOA connections group has grown to a robust platform with a great group of volunteers dedicated to helping their communities. I must commend them on the hard work and pride they show in their communities; it’s a great reflection on them and Old Bridge. The meetings are a great ave- nue for all to facilitate needed informa- tion to do our jobs. It allows direct com- munication between me, the township departments, and a large majority of our residents through the HOA’s leaders in the group. We even reach our active adult communities, which is great. This is something that should be followed in all towns. I’m happy we are leading the way with this concept.” Former Mayor Roger Silva said to me, “Thanks for the coffee.” n

ATTENTION ALL CAI-NJ SEMINAR ATTENDEES:

Please remember to keep your seminar completion certificates in a safe place. These certificates are distributed at the end of each CAI-NJ seminar. This is proof that you attended and completed the seminar. You may need to reference the certificate in the future and CAI-NJ does not keep track of each member’s attendance record. Community managers will definitely need the certificates to obtain credit for continuing education towards their designations.
