Asking an unqualified board or manager to make represen tations about the structural condition of the property, combined with fur ther misunderstandings between the association and lender may incur unnecessary and inadvertent legal liability, regardless of the condition of the building. Boards and managers are urged to consult with their legal and building professionals to properly navigate the legal and lending requirements to maintain the financial health and resale value of their community. n
