WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PREVENTATIVE ROOF MAINTENANCE - Preventative maintenance that you can do on your own which will save you money on your capital improvement budget. Presenter: Mike Hoch, Executive Vice President, P. Cooper Roofing Mr. Hoch has been a roofer for over 30 years and has hands-on knowledge/experience with all roofing technol- ogies (EPDM, Shingles, TPO, Metal, Modified Bitumen etc.). Mr. Hoch not only works with 34 daily crews who service over 10 states, he is considered an expert on the Eastern U.S. region working directly with roofing man- ufacturers GAF, Versico (a Carlisle Company), Tamko, and more to design/build roof systems and provide ser- vice orientation for many building owners. Mr. Hoch has the expertise to provide building owners and managers with the knowledge of what are the appropriate roofs’ needs and cost-efficient solution(s) for their building(s). With over 7 years of industry experience, Ray enjoys sharing his knowledge about various topics pertaining to fire protection. Morris, Principal, Morris Engineering, LLC Mr. Morris is the Principal of Morris Engineering & ME Architecture. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer and Reserve Specialist with more than 20 years experience, specializing in transitions, reserves and major capital repair and restoration projects. His expertise in forensic engineering and qualifications as a Senior Member of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers and a Diplomat Forensic Engineer has helped him successfully represent many community associations through litigations and mediations. Presenter: Matthew Z. Earle, Esq., Kates, Nussman, Ellis, Farhi & Earle, LLP Mr. Earle has extensive experience representing community associations and providing legal services relating to, among other things, transition, interpretation of governing documents, insurance issues, compliance with federal and state laws, advising boards on fiduciary duties, dealing with resident disputes, handling annual meetings and elections, and litigating construction defects. Mr. Earle serves on CAI’s Legislative Action Committee. Presenter: George C. Greatrex, Esq., Shivers, Gosnay & Greatrex, LLC Mr. Greatrex, CAI’s Legislative Action Committee Chair, is a partner at the law firm Shivers, Gosnay & Greatrex, LLC, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Most of his practice is devoted to community association law in the areas of residential and commercial planned unit developments. Mr. Greatrex earned his B.A. degree from Rutgers University and J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law. Presenter: Timothy Martin, Senior Associate, MBI Gluckshaw Mr. Martin focuses on legislative and regulatory affairs. He consults on healthcare issues including patient safety, access and quality of care, mental health and addiction treatment. He also manages issues concern- ing animal cruelty laws, municipal animal control and the regulation of shelters and pounds. In addition to his lobbying, Mr. Martin also provides event management services, helping his clients organize fundraisers for political action committees and candidates on both sides of the aisle and in all parts of the state. Prior to becoming a full-time government affairs agent, Mr. Martin interned in both the New Jersey General Assembly and the Urban League of Lancaster County, PA. Mr. Martin earned his B.S. from Millersville University. Presenter: Mike Pesce, PCAM, Branch President, Associa -Community Management Corp., AAMC Mr. Pesce, PCAM, is Branch President of Associa - Community Management Corp, AAMC, which focuses on community associations, condominiums, cooperatives, planned-unit developments and townhouses. He presently serves on the CAI Legislative Committees and the NJ Apartment Association. Mr. Pesce is a past President of the New Jersey chapter of CAI and has been Board Liaison and Chair of its Legislative Action Committee.
