you would like the project to begin (Example: Spring of 2021). You can also ask the bidders how long it will take to mobilize once the agreements have been signed and their deposit check has been received, as well as approximately how long will it take to complete the project, which can then be compared in the proposal selec- tion process. 7. Detailed Scope of Work: Each scope of work will obviously vary, depending on the project, but make sure you are as detailed as possible with the scope of work. This is where you can also utilize your rela- tionships with your vendors to assist you with generating a detailed scope of work. If you are unsure of how to write the scope, you can potentially ask a contractor vendor if they would be willing to provide you with the first proposal for your project, which would then be used as the RFP spec- ifications for all other bidders. You should be open and honest about this favor you are asking of that vendor, as contractors often put a lot of time and effort into their proposals. If appli- cable, you can also provide a com- munity map and pictures with your detailed scope, which will help with the accuracy of the RFP/proposal. • Helpful hint: Google Earth Pro can be downloaded for free.
