is to serve others together in a meaningful way: building houses, making sandwiches for a shelter, packing cans at a food pantry for those in need. Networking events are valuable, but the most lasting bonds are built in service to others.

Many CAI-NJ members are already active volunteers, doing great work every day in their local neighborhoods. But as we all know, there is strength in numbers. Now, as we continue to grow, we can collectively do so much more. I look forward to serving along- side of you in 2020! n

amazing life and legacy -- I can think of two great reasons for our members to get involved: • Positive Visibility: Bygetting in volved, your organization will be recognized as an organization that gives back. In addition, our work will shed light on our industry and the issues of community association living. Positive community visibility also strengthens our voice with government officials and the people who elect them. • Relationship Building: Getting in- volved in volunteer activities pro- vides your team — whether it be your board, your employees, or others in your community — with a unique opportunity! Please remember to keep your seminar completion certificates in a safe place. These certificates are distributed at the end of each CAI-NJ seminar. This is proof that you attended and completed the seminar. You may need to reference the certificate in the future and CAI-NJ does not keep track of each member’s attendance record. Community managers will definitely need the certificates to obtain credit for continuing education towards their designations.
