• Be Flexible — There is no choice on this one! Be prepared for your day to go in an entirely different direc- tion. Try not to get upset over it as it will only heighten your frustration and lessen your ability to concentrate on the task on hand. • Take Care of Yourself — Seems self-explanatory, however, because property managers are always so busy, they neglect themselves. So, drink water. Eat your lunch. Go outside and breath fresh air! You need to take care of yourself not only for your own health and well-being, but also to work to your full potential. If someone were to ask you what a property manager does, you can answer simply that it is a little of everything. That’s why it’s so important to be able to juggle many different job tasks. Time is your worst enemy, which is why managers must be time management masters. Is it challenging? Yes. Boring? Never. Which is why it’s such a satisfying career for those of us who do not like a mundane workday. n
