It is also detrimental to seek proposals just to continue to table them while adding additional scopes of work. Difficulties also arise when boards are at odds, refuse to “agree to dis- agree,” create separation or alliances with other board members, and forget that their goal and focus should be on maintaining the community and running the association. As they say, a house divided… Managers play an important role in bridging those board member disagreements and finding consensus. Read and under- stand the governing documents of the community.
