O n any given Friday or Saturday in summer, traffic is bumper to bumper with vacationers and second homeowners traveling south on the Garden State Parkway trying to get to their vacation destination at the Jersey Shore. Many of these destinations are condominium proper- ties including “condotels”, condominiums that operate like a hotel/motel. Either way, the vacation market has shifted a lot to condominiums and away from hotels and motels. Many vacationers have made them their summer home or investment property. This is mainly based on the areas of the Wildwoods, NJ and Cape May County and could be the same at other beach resorts throughout the state. Resort attractions such as sun, fun, beach, boardwalk, dining out, socializing over dinner and drinks, and grilling out help take these travelers’ minds off the day-to-day stress of work and personal responsibilities. But one thing for sure is that people often forget that beach resorts and their condominium associations have the same rules as they do in their primary town.
