Q&A QUESTION:

What would have to change for you to consider purchasing an electric car?

“The availability of charging stations would have to be as plentiful as gas stations. Gas stations are easy to find, but finding a place to plug in and it take only the amount of time to a full charge that it would be to fill up the tank would be my concern. I will admit, I have been admiring the Tesla for some time.” Denise Becker, CMCA, AMS, PCAM Corner Property Management

“For me to buy an electric vehicle I would need an increase in the mileage obtained without a charge. I rec- ognize more charging stations are being installed through- out the country, but the number of meetings/appointments with clients is such that I need certainty when it deals with vehicles and being able to reach a destination on time.” A. Christopher Florio, Esq. Stark & Stark “When cost, availability of vehicles, and ease of “re-fuel- ing” electric vehicles meet (or at least come very close to) gasoline engine vehicles, I am ready to go!” Harold Berlowe Denali Property Management, Inc. “In order for me to consider purchasing an electric car, I would like to see more widespread availability of charging stations. I would also like to see increased range per charge cycle.” Tejas Kadia, CMCA, AMS Reliance Property Management Group “I am always in favor of improving the way we do things, as long as it does not hinder the overall performance of what we are doing currently, longer battery life is key.” Tom Asciolla Apex Appliance Repair & Roofing

“I would need a trunk full of Game of Thrones Oreo’s.” Mary Ann Calogera, CMCA, ARM, AMS

“Before I would even consider it this would have to hap- pen: (i) someone would have to pay off the lease with respect to my existing car; (ii) someone would have to show me an electric car that is large enough for 4 teenagers, their bags, athletic equipment, etc.; (iii) someone would have to prove to me that it will actually make sense to me; and, (iv) someone would have to ensure that the electric car would be completely compatible with satellite radio.” David Byrne, Esq. Ansell, Grimm, & Aaron, PC “Lithium is the key component in an electric car battery. From what I have been told, lithium mining adversely impacts the environment. I would like to see that impact removed, or the replacement of lithium with something that isn’t a finite natural resource. Also, charging stations… lots of charging stations… so you can drive without concern for running out of power.” Richard J. Mattalian, CMCA, AMS Wilkin Management Group
