Q: So you spoke about performing your assigned duty, would you care to provide some insight of what your duty entails? A: Sure! I am currently an air transportation specialist. So to keep it short, I’m responsible for prepar- ing and inspecting all cargo and hazardous cargo being loaded and unloaded from the aircraft. I am also responsible for managing passengers getting on and off. Essentially, I man- age the logistics for anything and anyone getting on and off the plane. Q: Wow, so it’s like you’re the back- bone of operations for the Air Force Reserves. I can see where you get your project management skills from. Thank you for taking the time to sit down with me and talk about the service, and thank you for dedicat- ing your life to serving this country. To close this out could you offer any insight to the readers who may be considering joining the Air Force Reserves or any branch of service? A: It needs to be something they want, once you sign that contract, its binding, you’re given a job and you need to perform that job. But anyone joining should consider the benefits, there’s travel, the opportunity to get an education and develop skills you may not have a chance to develop oth- erwise.
