2023 COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

AWARDSDINNER: • Plan and coordinate the 2023 Awards Dinner • Pre-assign sub committees to complete initiatives and tasks • Establish an event theme and create decorations • Secure event sponsorships & encourage attendance • Available to assist with the day-of-event activities, including shifts at registration Attendance requirement: minimum of 3 of 4 regularly scheduled meetings. Meets at 9:30 am. 2022 Meeting Date: Dec. 14 2023 Meeting Dates: (Wednesdays) Jan. 4, Feb. 1, Oct. 11 BUSINESS PARTNER: • Membership is limited to Business Partner members of the chapter • Pre-assign sub committees to complete initiatives and tasks • Plan and coordinate programs and services to enhance Business Partner experience • Plan and coordinate a minimum of two joint roundtables with the Managers Committee • Review submitted proposals for Business Partner educational track of the chapter’s Annual Conference & Expo • Ensure chapter is creating value with program and service offerings to Business Partner members • Evaluate current chapter programs and benefits for Business Partners • Assist with social media marketing efforts set forth by the chapter • Encourage writing or soliciting of articles for Community Trends ® by committee members and their affiliates throughout the year Attendance requirement: minimum of 4 of 5 regularly scheduled meetings. Meets at 9:30 am. 2023 Meeting Dates: (Wednesdays) Jan. 18, Mar. 15, May 10, July 19, Sept. 13 CONFERENCE&EXPO: • Pre-assign sub committees to complete initiatives and tasks • Work to enhance exhibitor and attendee participation • Increase attendance and gather sponsorships for event • Recommend to CAI-NJ Board of Directors the Conference & Expo theme and graphics • Work closely with Business Partner, Managers and HL Committees to develop education sessions • Recommend to CAI-NJ Board of Directors possible speakers for each education session • Committee members will serve as moderators of these programs • Logistical planning and execution for conference day activities • Work registration shifts at the Pre-Conference Networking Reception and Conference & Expo Attendance requirement: minimum of 7 of 9 regularly scheduled meetings. Meets at 9:30 am. 2023 Meeting Dates: (Thursdays) Jan. 19, Mar. 9, Apr. 13, June 15, July 20, Aug. 17, Sept. 7, Oct. 5, Nov. 9 EDITORIAL: • Coordinates the publication of Community Trends ® • Solicit qualified authors to submit articles • Review and edit articles submitted for publication • Submit one original work for publication during the calendar year • Facilitate the chapter’s Annual Shoot the Cover Contest • Vote on articles for the year to determine Author of the Year for 2023 Attendance requirement: minimum of 8 of 11 regularly scheduled meetings. EVENTS: • Plan and coordinate the 2023 CAI-NJ Networking Events including Beach Party (Summer) and Winter Break Party (Winter) • Pre-assign sub committees to complete initiatives and tasks • Secure event sponsorships and encourage attendance • Available to help with the day-of-event activities, including shifts at registration • *NEW*- Assist with all other chapter event and program registration. Committee members will select chapter programs and events to assist onsite. • Solicit door prizes (if necessary) Attendance requirement: minimum of 3 of 4 regularly scheduled meetings. Meets at 9:30 am. 2023 Meeting Dates: (Thursdays) Feb. 9, Apr. 27, June 22, Sept. 21 FUTUREALL STARTEAM(F.A.S.T.) : • Pre-assign sub committees to complete initiatives and tasks • Coordinate the F.A.S.T. signature events (Olympics & Kickball) • Assists on initiatives throughout the year such as various fundraising for Make-A-Wish New Jersey, food & school supply drives and Holiday Family Adoption • Plan and coordinate professional development and networking opportunities Attendance requirement: minimum of 5 of 6 regularly scheduled meetings. Meets at 9:30 am. 2023 Meeting Dates: (Thursdays) Jan. 12, Mar. 2, May 25, June 29 (onsite park), August 31, October 12 GOLFOUTING: • Plan and coordinate the 2023 Dennis R. Casale Memorial Golf Outing • Pre-assign sub committees to complete initiatives and tasks • Secure event sponsorships and encourage attendance • Available to assist with the day-of-event activities, including shifts at registration Attendance requirement: minimum of 2 of 3 regularly scheduled meetings. Meets at 2:00 pm. 2023 Meeting Dates: (Fridays) Mar. 10, May 26, June 2 (in-person/ bag stuffing) HOMEOWNERLEADER (HL): • Membership is limited to HL members of the chapter • Pre-assign sub committees to complete initiatives and tasks • Plan an coordinate the Homeowner Leadership Summit • Plan and coordinate at least one HL roundtable and huddle program per year • Review submitted proposal for the HL educational track of chapter’s Annual Conference & Expo • Increase HL membership attendance at chapter’s Conference & Expo • Ensure the chapter is creating value with their program and engaging new members • Encourage writing or soliciting of articles for Community Trends ® by committee members and their affiliates throughout the year Attendance requirement: minimum of 3 of 4 regularly scheduled meetings.
